This project involves the installation of seismic bracing systems for the water supply facility upgrade at the Shengting Hupan residential complex—part of Yijiang District’s initiative to address infrastructure deficiencies in residential water supply systems. The project strictly adheres to the requirements of the *Code for Seismic Design of Building Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Systems* (GB 50981) and the *Code for Seismic Design of Outdoor Water Supply, Sewerage, Gas and Heating Engineering* (GB 50032), implementing comprehensive seismic reinforcement for the complex's secondary water supply pump room and outdoor buried piping network. The design incorporates specialized seismic supports and hangers for main water supply pipes (DN65 and larger), booster pump units, valves, instrumentation, and electrical control lines within the pump room, ensuring reliable lateral seismic support; wall-mounted piping is secured with appropriate brackets and supports. Furthermore, pipe material selection and connection methods have been optimized based on local geological conditions to ensure the structural integrity and functional continuity of the water supply system during a design-basis earthquake. These measures effectively prevent water supply interruptions and secondary water-related hazards caused by pipe ruptures or joint failures, thereby safeguarding residents' access to essential water supplies and maintaining public health in the aftermath of an earthquake.
