U-type Pipe Clamp for Seismic Supports

I. Product Applications

The U-type pipe clamp is a core fitting for seismic support systems. It is mainly used to match lateral seismic bracing (diagonal braces arranged perpendicular to the pipeline direction) to limit the horizontal lateral displacement of pipelines. It is widely applied to the lateral seismic fixation of single fire protection, water supply and drainage, and air conditioning water pipelines, and can also be used as a standard hoop for conventional load-bearing hangers.Difference from O-type Pipe Clamp:U-type: Semi-open U-shaped structure, designed for lateral seismic bracing with convenient installation, mostly applicable to small-diameter pipes.O-type: Full closed circular structure, designed for longitudinal seismic bracing with uniform stress bearing, commonly used for large-diameter pipes.

II. Structural Composition

U-type Main Body: Integrally stamped U-shaped steel plate.EPDM Rubber Damping Liner: Provides anti-slip performance, vibration damping, pipe scratch resistance and noise reduction on the inner side.Pressure Plate & Matching Bolts and Nuts: Fasten pipelines from top and bottom to achieve firm fixation.Top Lifting Lug / Through Hole: Used for threading threaded rod hangers and connecting seismic hinges and lateral diagonal brace connectors.

I. Material and Anti-corrosion Treatment

Base Material: Q235 carbon steel; 304 stainless steel is optional for corrosive environments.

Surface Treatment:- Electro-galvanizing: Suitable for indoor dry garages, equipment rooms, and conventional fire protection and water supply & drainage projects.- Hot-dip galvanizing: Applied to humid basements, pipe galleries, outdoor venues and other underground humid environments with a higher anti-corrosion grade.

Inner Liner: EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) rubber, featuring water resistance, aging resistance, and high & low temperature resistance.

II. Applicable Common Pipe Diameters (Steel Pipe Outer Diameter)

DN25 (33.7), DN32 (42), DN40 (48), DN50 (60), DN65 (76), DN80 (89), DN100 (114)It is mainly used for lateral seismic bracing of medium and small-diameter pipelines. O-type pipe clamps are generally adopted for extra-large-diameter pipelines.
