As a key sports venue, the Shenyang Ice Sports Center places the utmost importance on the safety and reliability of its mechanical and electrical systems. The project strictly adheres to mandatory national standards—such as the *Code for Seismic Design of Building Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Systems* (GB 50981-2014)—by comprehensively designing and installing seismic bracing systems for piping and conduit networks, including HVAC, smoke control and exhaust, plumbing and drainage, fire protection, and electrical systems.
These seismic bracing systems utilize high-quality steel and prefabricated components, configured through rigorous mechanical analysis to form a robust support structure. Their primary function is to securely anchor the utility systems to the building's main structure; in the event of an earthquake, they effectively withstand horizontal seismic forces from all directions, limiting the displacement and vibration of utility installations. This prevents secondary hazards—such as pipe ruptures, the detachment of air ducts, or the collapse of cable trays—thereby ensuring the integrity of vital lifelines and the continued operation of critical equipment, ultimately providing a solid technical foundation for the venue's overall seismic safety and the smooth conduct of events.
