As a vital underwater transportation artery, the Wuxi Lake Taihu Tunnel project has fully implemented high-standard seismic design measures for its electromechanical systems. In strict accordance with the *Code for Seismic Design of Building Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Systems* (GB 50981) and relevant technical standards for tunnel engineering, the project incorporated systematic seismic bracing designs and installations for critical lifeline systems—including ventilation and smoke exhaust, water supply and drainage, fire protection, power distribution and lighting, as well as monitoring and communication networks.
Through the strategic layout and installation of high-performance seismic supports, the project aims to effectively withstand seismic forces acting on electromechanical piping and equipment. This approach prevents operational disruptions, secondary disasters, and rescue complications caused by the displacement, detachment, or rupture of these systems, thereby ensuring the tunnel's structural integrity and emergency functionality during extreme disaster events. These measures have significantly enhanced the overall seismic resilience and operational reliability of this strategic transportation infrastructure, providing robust technical support for maintaining the smooth operation of the regional transport network and ensuring public safety.
