The Xiangtai Woolen Textile Factory project strictly adhered to the *Code for Seismic Design of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Systems in Buildings* (GB 50981-2014), incorporating a professional seismic support system design tailored to the specific production environment and piping layout of a textile facility. Seismic reinforcement measures were prioritized for critical mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC and dust-extraction ductwork, process material pipelines, fire sprinkler systems, production equipment connections, and cable trays.
Developed through targeted structural analysis that accounts for equipment vibration and pipeline loads, the seismic support system utilizes durable components suited for industrial environments. Its primary function is to effectively restrain the displacement and oscillation of various pipelines during an earthquake. This prevents hazards such as the detachment of air ducts; leaks (air or water) caused by ruptured pipes; electrical short circuits; and the shifting or overturning of heavy equipment resulting from pipeline tension. By directly averting secondary damage to production equipment and raw materials, the system maximizes the safety of the main structure, ensures the continuity of production lines, and protects personnel, thereby significantly enhancing the seismic resilience and disaster-prevention capabilities of this traditional industrial facility.
