For the utility tunnels along the Nanjing Metro Line 5 route and at its stations, a standardized, modular, and high-performance support system was comprehensively adopted. The project strictly adhered to technical specifications for urban utility tunnels and metro industry standards, implementing integrated planning and intensive layout strategies for the various utility lines housed within—including power cables, communication and signaling systems, water supply and drainage, fire protection, and HVAC systems.
By utilizing a support system characterized by structural stability and precision installation, the project achieved the layered, zoned, and secure arrangement of diverse utility lines. This approach effectively prevented cross-interference, vibration-induced displacement, and other potential risks, thereby significantly enhancing both the safety of the installation and the ease of future maintenance. The system not only optimized the utilization of internal tunnel space but also ensured the long-term, stable, and efficient operation of this critical metro infrastructure, laying a solid foundation for the line's reliable service and the efficient use of urban underground space resources.
