
During the planning and construction of the utility tunnel for the Phase I project of Hangzhou Metro Line 8, a standardized and highly reliable support system was comprehensively implemented. The project strictly adhered to the national *Technical Code for Urban Utility Tunnel Engineering* and relevant metro industry standards, ensuring the systematic and modular layout and secure installation of various integrated utility lines—including power cables, communication and signaling systems, water supply and drainage, fire protection, and ventilation.
By utilizing specialized supports characterized by structural stability and excellent corrosion resistance, the project ensured that the various utility lines were arranged in an orderly, secure, and reliable manner—organized by layer and zone within the confined space. This effectively prevented displacement, deformation, and mutual interference caused by vibration, settlement, or external impacts. The support system not only enhanced space utilization efficiency and safety within the tunnel but also provided long-term, stable physical support for all critical metro utility lines. This setup guarantees safe daily operations and ease of maintenance, laying a solid foundation for the long-term reliable operation of Hangzhou Metro Line 8 and the efficient management of urban underground space.
