This project constitutes the specialized seismic bracing component of the renovation project for the Old Donghu Middle School. In strict accordance with current standards—such as the *Code for Seismic Design of Building Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Systems* (GB50981-2014) and the *Code for Design of Primary and Secondary School Buildings*—comprehensive seismic reinforcement is being implemented for the mechanical and electrical systems of the renovated school buildings, including the classroom and laboratory blocks.
The scope of work encompasses systems such as fire sprinkler networks, water supply and drainage, ventilation and smoke control, power and low-voltage electrical systems, emergency lighting, and laboratory piping. Through professional seismic analysis and detailed design tailored to the existing structural conditions, a safe and reliable seismic support system is being installed. Construction is carried out with a focus on protection and coordination to ensure that all piping and equipment remain stable during seismic events. This effectively prevents system failures, secondary disasters, and evacuation obstructions caused by displacement or detachment, thereby safeguarding students and faculty and enhancing the overall seismic resilience of the campus facilities.
