Suzhou Rail Transit Line 8 Project

Update:Jan 16,2026

During the construction of the electromechanical systems for the Suzhou Rail Transit Line 8 project, high-standard seismic support systems were comprehensively adopted. In strict accordance with the *Code for Seismic Design of Building Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Systems* (GB 50981) and relevant rail transit industry standards, the project implemented systematic seismic design and reinforcement for critical electromechanical piping and equipment—including ventilation and air conditioning, water supply and drainage, fire protection, power and lighting, and communication and signaling systems—across all stations and tunnel sections.

Through the scientific layout and installation of high-performance seismic supports and hangers, the displacement of pipelines and equipment during seismic events is effectively constrained. This prevents secondary hazards caused by swaying or detachment, thereby ensuring clear emergency evacuation routes and the continued functionality of critical systems post-disaster. These measures significantly enhance the seismic resilience and operational safety of Line 8’s overall structure, providing a robust guarantee for the reliability and public safety of Suzhou’s urban rail transit network and demonstrating the high priority modern rail transit engineering places on disaster prevention and mitigation.
