Maintenance Project for the Public Teaching Building at the Lingang Campus of Shanghai Ocean University

Update:Feb 02,2026

This project involves the specialized design and installation of seismic bracing systems as part of the renovation of the Public Teaching Building at the Lingang Campus of Shanghai Ocean University. The project aims to comprehensively retrofit and reinforce the building's existing electromechanical piping and conduit systems—including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and fire protection—to meet seismic safety standards. The design plan strictly adheres to relevant national and local standards, such as the *Code for Seismic Design of Building Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Systems* (GB 50981); it incorporates detailed designs tailored to the building's structural characteristics and utility layouts, utilizing high-performance, reliable seismic bracing products. Through systematic reinforcement, the project ensures the structural integrity and functional stability of electromechanical systems during a design-basis earthquake, effectively preventing secondary hazards caused by the detachment or rupture of piping and conduits. This significantly enhances the building's overall seismic resilience, safeguarding the lives and property of faculty and students while ensuring the continued operation of emergency functions following a seismic event.
