Renovation Project of the Industrial Building at Xuhui Campus of East China University of Science and Technology

This project is a special engineering for seismic support for the industrial building of Xuhui Campus of East China University of Science and Technology. According to the "Seismic Design Code for Building Electrical and Mechanical Engineering" (GB50981-2014) and relevant standards for the renovation of university buildings, a comprehensive seismic reinforcement is carried out for the electrical and mechanical systems of the building after its renovation and update. 


The project scope includes the updated fire protection system, water supply and drainage, ventilation and air conditioning, power and weak current conduits, laboratory-specific pipelines, network communication and emergency support systems, etc. Through professional seismic calculations and adaptive detailed design, a high-standard seismic support and hanger system that is coordinated with the construction and renovation project is provided and installed. This ensures that the newly installed and retained pipeline equipment remain stable under sudden loads such as earthquakes, preventing functional disruptions, secondary disasters and structural safety hazards due to displacement or detachment, and guaranteeing the safety, continuity and stability of the university's industrial research environment, meeting the seismic safety requirements for the renovation and improvement of existing buildings on campus.
