Renovation Project of the Industrial Building at the Xuhui Campus of East China University of Science and Technology

This project involves the specialized installation of seismic bracing systems for the renovation of the Industrial Building at the Xuhui Campus of East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST). In accordance with the *Code for Seismic Design of Building Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Systems* (GB50981-2014) and relevant standards for university building renovations, comprehensive seismic reinforcement is being implemented for the building's upgraded mechanical and electrical systems.


The project scope encompasses the renovated fire protection systems, water supply and drainage, HVAC systems, cable trays (for both power and low-voltage systems), specialized laboratory piping, network communication systems, and emergency support systems. Through professional seismic analysis and detailed adaptive design, high-standard seismic bracing and support systems—fully coordinated with the renovation work—are being supplied and installed. These measures ensure the stability of both newly installed and existing piping and equipment under sudden loads such as earthquakes, preventing functional disruptions, secondary hazards, and structural safety risks caused by displacement or detachment. The project thus safeguards the safety, continuity, and stability of the university's industrial research environment while meeting seismic safety requirements for the renovation and upgrading of existing campus buildings.
