Installation of Seismic Hangers and Supports
Seismic bracing systems include hanger and support components that combine suspension and seismic resistance functions. What basic requirements must be met when installing this equipment?

1. Regarding the installation of seismic supports and hangers, lateral seismic supports must be installed at both ends of each horizontal pipe section.
2. For the installation of seismic supports and hangers, at least one longitudinal seismic support must be installed on each horizontal pipe section. If two seismic supports are required, the spacing between them must comply with the *Code for Seismic Design of Building Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Facilities*. For example, if a rigidly connected pipeline is 36 meters long, the supports should be spaced according to the maximum allowable interval (e.g., 24 meters) to ensure all spacing requirements are met.
3. Regarding the installation of seismic supports and hangers, a lateral seismic support must be installed within 0.6 meters of any bend in the horizontal piping. If a brace acts directly on the pipe, it may also serve as a longitudinal seismic support for the opposite side.
4. Regarding the installation of seismic supports and hangers, if the distance between two lateral seismic supports exceeds the maximum design spacing, an additional lateral seismic support should be installed in between to ensure optimal performance.
